Voted Best Gazpacho

voted-best-gazpachoAlbert's On The Alley was voted best Gazpacho in a blind taste test. The Detroit News Taste Panel rated the following gazpacho's on taste, texture and appearance on a scale of 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent).

Because gazpacho is always served cold, it has become a very popular summertime appetizer.

The uncooked tomato-based soup is "at its best" in August when all its chopped vegetables (cucumbers, tomatoes, celery, onion and green pepper) are fresh and bountiful," says panelist Jackie Fox. "The soup is also a great company dish because you can make it ahead of time. It actually gets better with age.
